Huge Success! We walked so others don't have to. The 6th annual Water Walk event was held on October 12th at Mixville Recreation Park in Cheshire, CT.
Raising funds and awareness to end the Global Water Crisis: Burt Water Walk $25K/2024
On our Walk for Water, we symbolically carried buckets of water for approximately 1 mile around the park's scenic trails and ponds. This event included a picnic, games, raffles, prizes, trivia & fun!
The generous sponsorships and donations we received helped exceed our fundraising goal of $25,000. With a total raised of $35,300!
Thank you to all who made this year’s fundraising possible. Your impact has saved 700 lives from waterborne illness. Clean water is a basic need that you helped Water Mission provide.
We look forward to the 2025 Annual Water Walk and hope you will join us again!

2019 Walk For Water
Shown above: Strategic Partners Kristen Kowal from Grundfos and Kevin Moran from Georg Fischer join Steve & Sue Burt to kick off the 2019 Burt Process Walk for Water.
The first annual Burt Process Walk for Water held on October 26, 2019, raised $10,000 for Water Mission, a non-profit organization that provides engineered water solutions to remote communities and disaster relief regions who are in desperate need of clean water.
Our main goal of working with Water Mission is to increase the access to safe water and sanitation solutions. Building a system and completing a successful project aside from basic health provides time for more progressive work, optimized education, improved health and increased productivity throughout the community.
Our donation directly supported Water Mission’s team in Kenya as they responded to the West Pokot landslide disaster that occurred late November 2019. This catastrophe had displaced 80,000 people and tragically took the lives of 50. Water Mission's team was able to make a well-timed response to the situation and quickly provide supplies, hygiene kits, safe water, and other necessities that are essential to life needed by the families and communities that were left in distress.
