Burt Process Equipment, CT Walk for Water - September 2019
Our donation directly supported Water Mission’s team in Kenya as they responded to the West Pokot landslide disaster that occurred late November 2019. This catastrophe had displaced 80,000 people and tragically took the lives of 50. Water Mission's team was able to make a well-timed response to the situation and quickly provide supplies, hygiene kits, safe water, and other necessities that are essential to life needed by the families and communities that were left in distress.
The first annual Burt Process Walk for Water held on October 26, 2019, raised $10,000 for Water Mission, a non-profit organization that provides engineered water solutions to remote communities and disaster relief regions who are in desperate need of clean water.
Our main goal of working with Water Mission is to increase the access to safe water and sanitation solutions. Building a system and completing a successful project aside from basic health provides time for more progressive work, optimized education, improved health and increased productivity throughout the community.
