Flexible Impeller pumps are primarily utilized in marine applications such as greywater and blackwater transfer, engine cooling, baitwells, and air conditioning systems. They are available in pedestal-style or flange-mounted configurations. During initial startup, impeller pumps require priming to prevent dry-running. With complete priming, suction lifts of up to 15 feet are achievable. Using a foot valve with an integrated filter at the start of the suction line would be best. Suction lines should be kept as short as possible, and if horizontal runs are necessary, they should be pitched upwards towards the pump. Max Flow pumps range between 36-70 GPM.
