THE APPLICATION
The end-user is a textile coating manufacturer that produces top-quality polymer-coated fabrics, textiles, and tape products. They offer direct coating techniques utilizing silicon, polyurethane, polyvinylchloride, and natural butadiene rubber. These coatings are directly applied to an array of different substrates and textiles. The customer uses a pump to transfer water or solvent-based coating to an extruding/ laminating machine. They require a pump that is self-priming, portable, can handle changes in viscosity, and moves between machines with ease.

The Albin ALP30 pump with air motor provided gentle non-shearing handling of the coatings when transferred. The pump is easily relocated when needed due to the portable pushcart and air-driven motor. Unlike other pump designs, the ALP30 hose is removed quickly allowing the user to switch between different chemistries and skip the difficult cleaning processes.

- Albin's ALP Low-Pressure Tube Pump is designed for pumping and dosing a wide range of media including low to high viscous fluids, pasty, pure, or neutral fluids, aggressive or abrasive liquids, and mixed-media.
- Due to fewer mechanical parts, pump setup and maintenance is quick and easy.
- Fluid touches only the inner surface of the hose but does not touch any part of the pump. A user can easily clean the hose by flushing the lines and the process piping system due to bi-directional flow.
- Degassing valves are not required. By moving fluid through the hose and squeezing tube, the rollers prevent backflow and create a sealless system, eliminating the need for mechanical seals.
- Can run dry, self-prime, and offer a high suction lift.
