Inline needle scalers combine their needle-holding barrel and tool grip to form a slim, straight tool for reaching through openings, into recesses, or into tight spaces. Their lever switch activates the tool, causing the needles to strike surfaces in order to remove rust, mill scale, and paint. The needles are made up of loosely bundled rods that move independently in order to follow curves and contours. They can be replaced with needles of a different diameter or material as long as they are compatible with the scaler. When needles break or wear out, they can be replaced.
