Ruhrpumpen Vertical Submersible Pumps are high-performance pumping solutions designed for reliable operation in demanding applications such as wastewater treatment, drainage, power generation, and industrial processes. Built for efficiency and durability, these pumps feature a vertically suspended design with submerged hydraulics and a dry motor installation, minimizing space requirements and simplifying maintenance. Known for their robust construction, corrosion resistance, and smooth operation, Ruhrpumpen’s vertical submersible pumps deliver dependable performance even under harsh conditions.
The Ruhrpumpen VSP model, available in 28 sizes, is a sump pump with a semi-open impeller designed for clean water applications, while the VSP Non-Clog model, offered in 18 sizes, features an enclosed impeller capable of handling solids up to 4 inches in diameter. Both pump types are manufactured in standard cast iron construction, with alternative sizes and materials available to meet specific customer requirements.
The VSP Chem is a chemical sump pump equipped with a semi-open impeller, specifically engineered for corrosive wet pit applications. An API design version is available upon request.
The SMF is a vertical submersible mixed-flow pump designed for installation in either a steel tube or a concrete well. Its enhanced hydraulic design ensures improved performance and reduced total cost of ownership for end users.
The SHS is a submersible pump featuring a single impeller, non-clog suction design, and single volute casing, engineered for efficient solids handling without requiring additional devices to fit existing discharge elbows. Capable of pumping liquids containing solids from 3 to 6 inches in diameter, the SHS is ideal for a wide range of applications including water, wastewater, sewage, pulp and paper, mining, and various industrial or municipal processes, suitable for both single and parallel operation.
The NE is a single-stage, single-suction pump equipped with an overhung non-clog impeller, engineered for handling municipal and industrial wastewater, sewage, effluent, and liquids containing solids and fibers. Its superior solids-handling performance ensures maximum uptime and significantly reduces maintenance costs associated with clogging or jamming, making it ideal for continuous operation in the most demanding conditions.
The VTP Submersible Turbine Pump is a vertical, submersible pump available in single or multi-stage configurations, featuring a diffuser-type bowl for efficient performance. It is designed and built in accordance with Hydraulic Institute standards (VS0) for reliability and durability in demanding applications.
The STV pump is the vertical version of the ST pump, featuring a pot-style, non-clogging, non-stringing two-channel impeller. It is designed to handle sewage containing coarse solids and fibrous materials without the need for an upstream screen. For horizontal installations, refer to the ST pump model.
The SKV is a dry-installed centrifugal pump equipped with a three-channel impeller, designed for versatile use in handling activated sludge, as well as rainwater, raw water, and mixed water with an upstream screen. For horizontal installation applications, refer to the SKO model.
