Ruhrpumpen’s overhung pump range includes both self-priming and solids-handling models, each designed for specific challenges. Self-priming pumps are ideal for above-ground installations, capable of clearing air from the suction line to start pumping without manual priming. Solids-handling pumps, by contrast, are built to move fluids containing debris or suspended solids, with rugged designs that resist clogging and wear. Both types offer reliable performance and easy maintenance in demanding industrial and wastewater applications.

How the SWP Self-Priming Pump Works
The SWP is a self-priming pump designed for solids-handling applications, capable of pumping both clear liquids and those containing solids. Its large volute design enables automatic repriming in fully open systems without requiring suction or discharge check valves.

- Double row thrust bearing provides minimal shaft end play for extended mechanical seal life.
- ANSI 150 or 300 flange drilling is available based on material seleciton. RF or FF designs are available based on requirements.

How the GWP Self-Priming Pump Works
The GWP is a self-priming pump capable of handling clear liquids as well as suspended solids up to 3 inches in diameter. Its design features a chamber with a permanent oil bath for the mechanical seal, enabling continuous dry operation without damage.
