burt process equipment - West Coast
Beginning in 2019, Burt Process Equipment has established its new west coast distribution fulfillment facility in Irwindale California. As a distributor for over 50 major equipment manufacturers and high-end tools, this new facility serves as a stocking location allowing Burt Process to reduce delivery time and shipping costs, as well as serve our west coast customers more effectively and efficiently.
Sergio Avila
West Coast Regional Manager
In addition to establishing our new west coast location, Burt Process is pleased to have Sergio Avila join the team as our West Coast Regional Manager. Sergio’s extensive experience and product knowledge brings the right acumen needed to assist our west coast customers.
Mr. Avila brings with him over 20 years of experience in fluid handling equipment. Sergio comes to us from Finish Thompson where he served as the Director of Sales, Latin America for 6 years. Before that, he was Industrial Markets Director for PSG and Regional Sales Manager for Wilden Pump & Engineering.
Sergio’s role as the West Coast Regional Manager will be instrumental to the success of our California expansion. We are thrilled to have Sergio Avila join our Burt Process team to help us provide even better sales and service support to our west coast customers. Joining Sergio’s team are Mark Phelps, Michael Gonzales, David Preston, Adam Pulliam, and Robert Guertin.
Mark Phelps
Northern CA & Western NV Sales
Mark Phelps brings over 25 years of experience in the fluid handling industry. Mark’s knowledge includes process automation controls, ANSI centrifugal, and general pumping equipment. He previously held a position on Wilden’s Global Hygienic Council. He is well schooled and has established relationships with many of our current supplier partners. Mark is based in Modesto, CA, and will be handling the Northern California territory including portions of Nevada.
Michael Gonzales
California Outside Sales
Michael Gonzales joined the West Coast team January 3, 2023. Michael, with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills, brings a wealth of sales experience in real estate, retail, and corporate banking.
In a brief span, he's actively engaged in supplier training, customer visits, and networked at trade shows around the region. Michael's territory spans San Diego, Orange County, and Long Beach, California. His hands-on approach and enthusiasm make him a valuable asset to our sales team.
David Preston
Northern California Outside Sales
With expertise spanning more than two decades in the fluid
handling industry, David Preston joined Burt Process with an extensive
background in chemical treatment applications and tailored services to a
diverse range of sectors, including but not limited to the Petrochemical,
Mining, and Minerals, Agricultural, and Food Processing industries.
As an Outside Sales Representative for Burt Process, David
is strategically located in San Francisco, California. He oversees and manages
the Northern California territory, extending his purview from Santa Maria, CA,
to the Oregon border. His commitment to excellence and comprehensive
understanding of fluid handling systems make him an invaluable asset to the
company and its customers.
Adam Pulliam
Outside Sales Engineer - Arizona
Adam, originally from Seattle, WA, has been a driving force in the construction and construction software industry for over 20 years. Since joining Burt almost a year ago, he has established key partnerships with industry leaders such as Soilworks, TSMC, and L3 Harris. Adam's contributions have been crucial to our achievements, supplying major players like Freeport McMoRan and collaborating with suppliers like Blacoh, Flowline, and Fusion.
Robert Guertin
West Coast Region Inside Sales
Meet Rob, Inside Sales Representative for the West Coast Region at Burt Process. With a career in the pump industry since the age of 20, Rob brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. His extensive background encompasses Research & Development, Marketing, Market Research, and Sales. Rob has held prestigious positions, such as Head of Marketing for leading pump companies, including a globally recognized organization with a presence in 165 countries. As a Global Market Research manager, he has explored pump sales opportunities worldwide, contributing to his track record of accomplishments. In his role at Burt Process, Rob leverages his experience to support and enhance the Sales and Support efforts for the West Coast Region.
