Beginning in 2021, Burt Process Equipment merged with Fluid Handling Dynamics LLC expanding our physical reach to support our valued customers. In April 2021, Burt Process expanded to a newly established state-of-the-art central region distribution and fulfillment center.
Our facility is fully staffed in Bryan, Ohio, providing custom assembly, factory warranty evaluation, and pump repair. As a distributor for over 50 major equipment and high-end tools manufacturers, the new facility serves as a stocking and support hub. Expansion into Ohio allows Burt Process to reduce delivery time and shipping costs and provide field services to the region more effectively and efficiently.
Jim Kozumplik started his career in the automotive industry as a 13,000 sq. ft. mechanical/ body shop business owner. During his fifteen years as a shop owner, Jim was in charge of all day-to-day operations, including employee management, estimating, customer service, and hands-on automotive mechanical and body repair.
Fluid Handling Dynamics was a distributor and a service and warranty center for the ARO corporation. In 2014 Jim sold the business and started Fluid Handling Dynamics with his father, Nick, and an engineer at the ARO corporation for 42 years. Jim and Nick focused on providing the ARO end-user accurate technical support and an outlet to send ARO fluid equipment to be evaluated and repaired.
In March 2021, Burt Process Equipment acquired FHD and is now the new central region branch for BPE. Jim accepted a position as branch manager to lead the new central region branch located in Bryan, Ohio. As branch manager, Jim supports shipping and receiving, the outside sales team, and brings real-world knowledge of ARO fluid product application, support, and repair capabilities to Burt's central region.
Chris Campbell worked in the industry for over 20 years as an inside and outside sales professional in the general industrial, municipal, and food and beverage industries. His career spans several top pump manufacturers including Ingersoll Rand, PSG, ITT Goulds, IDEX, and Gorman Rupp, to name a few. Over the years, Chris worked with every type of pump, ranging from centrifugal, positive displacement, air-operated diaphragm pumps, and many others. Chris enjoys the variety of application pump challenges.
Chris joined Burt Process Equipment in August of 2020 as an Inside Sales Representative. His extensive knowledge of pumps and applications is an asset to providing the best solution to meet customers' requirements.
Jason Schuttera assumed the role of Outside Sales Representative at Burt Process Equipment in the Fall of 2021. Prior to joining our team, he established himself as a sales professional specializing in the consultation and design of pump lift stations across diverse industries. Effective January 2024, Jason has transitioned to the role of Regional Manager within the central region team.
Residing in Ashland, Ohio, Jason continues to foster meaningful relationships with our valued customers. Beyond his professional pursuits, Jason is an enthusiast of vinyl records and prides himself as a self-proclaimed "Pit Master" with a passion for the culinary art of barbecuing.
Bob Embry came to Burt Process in August 2023 with nearly 30 years of pump industry experience. He started as an inside application engineer and progressed into outside sales, branch management, and ownership. Bob has experience across the industrial, municipal, commercial, and fire pump markets. Bob graduated from the University of Louisville on a football scholarship and attended the University of Kentucky School of Business after completing his bachelor’s degree.
Bob works from his home office in Louisville, Kentucky, and his territory covers Southwest Ohio, Southern Indiana, and all of Kentucky for Burt Process. He has been married to his wife Cori for over 25 years, and they have two adult sons. Bob loves the Louisville Cardinal sports teams, and the football program is closest to his heart.
