History

In 1994 a dozen Burt Process Equipment personnel from the Manufacturing and Engineering departments got together to play what would be the first annual Burt Process Golf Tournament.  For the first five years, it was strictly an annual BPE employee outing, with a couple of employee friends by special invitation.  In 2000 several Vendors attended, along with a single Customer.  Within two years the tournament had grown to include many employees, vendors, and customers.  Formal sponsorships were introduced and the event took off.  In 2003 the event became a fundraiser as well, with a donation of $1,200 being made to the Saint Raphael Foundation.  The event continues to grow and evolve from year to year, now proudly hosting over 200 players and tournament staff across two premium gold courses.

Charity Contribution

Burt Process Equipment is dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of children and families through charitable efforts. Past donations provided support for organizations, including Toys for Tots, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, and A Moment of Magic. In 2006, our annual golf events began raising funds for the Connecticut Children's Medical Center and Foundation

In 2023, our tournament achieved a record donation of $25,000, totaling $135,000 to date!

This year, we are excited to add the Alzheimer's Association, Connecticut Chapter, as an additional fundraiser beneficiary

Join us on June 14th, 2024, for another chance to make a difference. Contributing opportunities include prize raffles, a 50/50 raffle, Mulligan sales, and contests. We welcome any participant who wants to donate. Let's come together to support these local organizations and make a difference.
